. Currently I have a model which could work. Extensibility is the highest priority behind Verbosio’s design, so if I’m creating costly design flaws, I need to know about them now. (Verbosio, for those who haven’t been following along, is my prototype XML editor.)
I’m asking for three or four technical reviewers to take a look at my design and intentions, and offer feedback. The only reason I don’t just post them publicly for review is the complete instability of Verbosio, including the IDL files I’ve designed. I really want to consult with a few interested people and get their feedback on what I should be doing.
Abacus failed because it was a one-man show. I am at the point where I need help just for sanity-checking of the design.

I do web development and backoffice tools for the Civic Network of Bologna (italy). I know XUL and moz development quite well, but very little C++ and moz core details. I do know quite a bit about content design and web content editing. The need for a good xml editor is very great indeed and if you think I could be of any use to tou, please let me know!

I know something about XUL, too – even I am not an expert nor do I have knowledge of C++ (I think much of it is JavaScript anyway of which I know a lot).
I have done a lot in web development and programmed a lot of (PHP) web applications. Maybe I can help with the module server.
If there is anything I can do, let me know.
So do you consider abacus a failure at this point?
