Caltrain goes broke, will likely wipe out weekend, night and midday trains
I don’t know how many people @ Mozilla’s Mountain View campus this would affect, but it’s very bad news for me.

I ride the train, along with many others, five days a week. It’ll suck if Caltrain goes away, but HSR should help make it more profitable and likely increase ridership.
A lot of people is the short answer. I am right now thankful for just having bought a fairly economical car.
I saw this on the news this morning… disappointing, I live near a Caltrain and commute daily to MozHQ. I’ll prolly take the Bus or the light rail in the future, but they are substandard compared to the 12 minute Bullet.
There are a bunch of bills supporting operating assistance for transit agencies (allowing them to shift money to that in the short term). Call your Congressman, let them know 🙂
